Today, May 16, 2026, marks the 3371st day of our continuous protest in Vavuniya. From the A9 roadside protest camp, we continue to demand justice for the disappeared and political dignity and self-determination for the Tamil people. Today, we also remember Mullivaikkal Kanchi Day — a symbol of the suffering, survival, and sacrifice of Tamils during the final days of the war. We also question why Tamil political leaders failed for decades to fully teach and explain Tamil history, sovereignty, and political rights to the Tamil people and the world. We urge the international community, especially the European Union and the United States, to support justice for the disappeared and recognize the Tamil people’s historical and political rights.
